Walt Whitman said, 'The job of the poet is to resolve all tongues'...   "Minute plays" from Theatre de la Verite presents: Namely, Marcel, le petit morceau - a failed mime artist and rebel who isn't afraid to call a spade - a shovel! Here, we have Minute plays performed in an aggressive street style complete with French accent with thought-provoking titles such as, We, French, Bird in Tree and The Fist and so on. This is a memorized theatrical presentation. The set also introduces another character called Baron Von Gainer who plays a touring lecturer. This is an intellectual twit with a posh English accent whose manner is dated to the point of nostalgia. Still a tantalizing and rapid-fire delivery to include: Canadian Immigration, Owing to a Certain Inconvenience and Oh, to be a Stanley! etc. The Baron reads from his personal diary: Once Upon a Life Time. And lastly, the unlikely star of the show, The Lone Gainer (a frontiersman, not a cowboy) with dramatic readings from the fireside book: Tales from the Trail. The calibre of tributes paid to certain Canadians for example, like Pierre Radisson or John A. MacDonald can only be experienced through Theatre de la Verite. The Minute Play: We French! will be featured shortly and a piece showing off the Baron's presentation skills will also appear. Why,it's just plain annoyin'. The Lone Gainer is not a role model of somethin' or other - whatever it is? Pay no attention! Gentle words flyin' off the page like bullets thrown into a campfire! It's makin' us all reel nervous! I repeat, "He is not wanted!!!" But,beware this  trailblazer is armed! Armed with a pen and paper. Approach with caution. Ink stains are hard to remove! ...Why here comes The Lone Gainer now with his awesome "Tales from the Trail!"...       The Lone Gainer - dapper and "UNWANTED!" by the Royal Gendarmerie with their 'maintiens le droit' for preferrin' the simple life. But, The Lone Gainer likes to say, he is "WANTED". After all, it's nice to be wanted, eh?
